Aanu Adedire
Aanu Adedire is an internationally trained lawyer, visual storyteller,
and founder of 1909 Media Productions, a creative agency
specializing in brand storytelling, documentary filmmaking, and
portraiture that centers the voices and journeys of women. With a
background in legal advocacy through FIDA (International Federation
of Women Lawyers), Aanu has long championed the rights and dignity
of women and girls, first in legal spaces, and now through powerful
visual narratives.
She is also the founder of the Obirin Empowerment Foundation, which
provides menstrual health education, body-positive mentorship, and
free sanitary products to schoolgirls in Nigeria. Whether behind the
camera or in community, Aanu is passionate about building
ecosystems of care where women are seen, heard, and supported to
thrive.
