Biography – Lindsey Machona
Lindsey Machona is a visionary leader, international development strategist, and women’s leadership coach dedicated to building a more equitable and compassionate world. She serves as the Executive Director of Expand Hope, a Canadian charity that builds schools in rural Guatemala, and as the Corporate Social Impact Coordinator at The Schmidt Investment Group, where she helps align capital with purpose through innovative philanthropy. Originally from Zimbabwe, Lindsey’s journey from humble beginnings to leading global initiatives reflects her belief that leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility to uplift others. She is also the founder of Lead Like Her, a women’s leadership and empowerment movement that helps ambitious women step into strategic visibility, voice, and influence through mindset transformation and identity-based coaching. Lindsey's work and passion bridges leadership, equity, and global citizenship in all she does. A former federal Liberal candidate for Edmonton Northwest, she continues to champion education, equity, and feminine leadership as pathways to sustainable social change. Her mission is to help women lead with self-authority, purpose, and impact, both in their communities and on the world stage.
