WAWT and TBA are excited to invite you to the Summer CookOut, an annual event celebrating diversity in the outdoors. This is an opportunity to visit spaces and participate in events where we as Black women, are not typically represented due to:
Awareness
Feeling unfamiliar with the outdoors, lack of media and industry representation
Acceptance
Gap in lived experience, sense of safety, sense of belonging, stereotypes
Access
Limited first hand knowledge/experience, socioeconomic
August 15th CookOut & Sisterhood
Come join us for a traditional ‘Berta style campfire & potluck cookout
with smores, games, music and sisterhood

Time: 5pm – 11pm
Location: Elk Island Campground – Site 48 (map to be provided)
