Ese Nkadi
Ese is an accomplished professional with about two decades of international experience spanning law, trusteeship, business development, corporate governance, and strategy. She currently serves as the Corporate Governance Director at the Alberta Dental Association and sits on the Board of McDougall House Association, a second-stage residential facility supporting women recovering from addiction.
Previously, Ese held key leadership roles, including Executive Director at Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited and Head of Governance at Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, a member of Standard Bank Group—Africa’s largest bank by assets.
Her academic credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law from Queen Mary University of London, UK, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She is currently pursuing studies in Human Resource Management at MacEwan University. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and Member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives.
A devoted family person, Ese has been married for nearly two decades and is a proud mother of two daughters. She also finds fulfillment in community involvement. She is the Co-Founder of Life’s Beginning Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports individuals on their path to parenthood in Nigeria .
Ese is a Life Member of Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) in Nigeria, where she actively mentors and empowers younger women. She is also a member of When African Women Talk (WAWT) in Edmonton, contributing to initiatives that uplift African women in Canada. In addition, she is the founder of Ese Micheals Governance Solutions, a corporate governance asdvisory firm.
