Meet Our Speaker
Funke Ernest-Omoruyi (CEO, Funke Financials)
Funke Ernest-Omoruyi, also known as Funke Ernest, is a Certified Financial Educator, Cybersecurity Professional, and the CEO of Funke Financials, a platform dedicated to helping immigrants and professionals in Canada build lasting wealth and financial confidence.
When Funke moved to Canada from Nigeria, she encountered two overwhelming realities at once: the complexity of the Canadian financial system and the vulnerability of her digital life. That lived experience became her life’s work. She realised that true financial empowerment requires not just knowing how to grow your money but also how to protect it.
With over two decades of experience across banking, finance, IT, and cybersecurity, Funke brings a rare and powerful blend of expertise that speaks directly to the real-world challenges facing immigrant women and families today. She is the visionary behind the Smart Wealth Accelerator, a fast-growing financial literacy community built specifically for newcomers and professionals who want to understand money the right way.
To date, over 500 families have transformed their finances through her teaching, a testament to her belief that financial education should be practical, accessible, and life-changing.
