When I became a mother in Canada, I was fortunate to have strong support around me. Friends, family, and community stepped in when I needed it most, reminding me of the power of a village.
But I quickly realized this is not the reality for many women today. Parenting in this generation can feel isolating, especially for newcomers, single mothers, or families juggling irregular schedules. Too often, parents are carrying the mental, emotional, and financial stress of childcare alone.
That contrast lit a fire in me. I wanted to take the support I had experienced and extend it to others, creating something that could rebuild the village for those who don’t have one.
